Often all of the visible part of a tooth, the crown, is damaged or too weak for a restoration. In such cases the tooth crown can be removed and an artificial abutment fitted, which is anchored into the root and from the outside is barely distinguishable from the adjacent teeth.
With full ceramic crowns we use the root canal post 'cosmopost'- the bio-aesthetic alternative to metal posts. Cosmoposts herald a new dimension in the world of aesthetic full ceramics. Now, restorations can be produced which are completely metal-free right to the tip of the root.
We also use pre-fabricated titanium posts (Radix-Anker) on a regular basis.
